Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, And waste its sweetness on the desert air.” -- Thomas GrayThis quote made me think of this review blog and the many others who selflessly take on self-published books, not to mention the reason I became a reviewer in the first place. Recently, there has been some debate as to the value of Indie review blogs and the service we provide. Metaphor aside, maybe that is the inherent purpose: To stop and take notice, to allow a flower to blush, to know that its sweetness wasn’t wasted.
At least that’s how I feel about it. Sometimes, even the weeds can be lovely.
